Megan Gunning grew up in Monkton, MD and graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory in Towson. Megan has always been interested in the fashion, beauty and entertainment industries. After completing NDP, she attended Graham Webb International, a high fashion and cosmetology facility in Washington DC and quickly embarked on her career.

Megan won the title of Miss Maryland USA 2001 in late November 2000. While representing Maryland at the 2001 Miss USA Pageant in March, she placed in the top 20 and was the winner of the coveted Clairol Natural Instincts Style Award, awarded to the delegate who best exemplifies a unique sense of style. During her reign, Megan traveled through out the State of Maryland appearing at many public functions, working with various charity organizations and engaging in speaking events. One such appearance led her to a career move....

She was a guest on the morning show at WIYY, 98 ROCK in Baltimore with Kirk, Mark and Lopez and ended up as one of the station’s disc jockeys. “Meg” worked the 7PM-Midnight shift as a solo on-air personality at 98 ROCK until early 2002 when she left the radio biz to pursue a full time career in modeling and acting.

Megan’s impact on the modeling world is clear with success in countless print projects, runway work and showroom. She signed with several modeling and talent agencies in Manhattan and decided to freelance. She has landed jobs with companies such as L.E.I. Jeans, Modell Sporting Goods, Sarto Franco, Rampage/ E.S. Originals, Hecht’s, Felina Lingerie, On-Gossamer, and Victor Rossi Couture to name a few.

 

Megan has made her mark in television and film as well. She received her training from the Sande Shurin Transformational Acting Studio in New York, Bob Luke NYC Acting Studio, Brette Goldstein, TVI Actors Studio-NYC and Bob Lambert. Since moving into the realm of acting, Megan has landed several guest appearances on network television such as “The West Wing” and “All My Children” and has also worked as a television host. In May 2002, she was featured on E! Entertainment Television’s show “Wild On!”, hosting “Wild On: DC!” as a finalist for the network’s search for a new host to replace the show’s ever-popular Brooke Burke. A few months later she was cast to play “Rachel”, a Virginia college student on the CBS daytime drama “As The World Turns”. Then it was back to hosting as she was thrilled to host the nationally syndicated series “Winter Sportscast”. Look for her show on Fox Sports Net, ESPN, ABC Sports, Comcast Sports Net and others! Each show is filled with outdoor action sports and adventure feature skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and wakeboarding at their finest! Keep an eye out for Megan on other upcoming series!

Currently, Megan is continuing to pursue her acting and modeling career and is working in radio again, this time as the spokesmodel for WJFK-106.7 FM in Washington, DC. You can catch Megan at every Redskins NFL home game and at all the station’s major events and promotions.

Megan also happens to be a licensed cosmetologist and makeup artist. She also owns an image consulting company, Vis-A-Vis Consulting, and specializes in bridal and pageantry...of course! Megan’s outgoing personality & witty commentary makes her the perfect foil as co-host of DJ CHEF alongside host Marc Weiss.
